Modeling the Corruption Dynamics with Awareness Impact: A Fractional Approach
Main Article Content
Abstract
Corruption is a pervasive issue that undermines the socio-economic development of nations and weakens effective governance. This study proposes a mathematical model to analyze and simulate corruption dynamics, focusing on the impact of the awareness parameter. We examine the patterns of changing transmission of corruption that evolve through the Caputo fractional derivative. The model has been well-posed from both epidemiologically and mathematical perspectives. The basic reproduction number \(\mathcal{R}_0\) is computed to forecast and evaluate the persistence of corruption. The stability analysis of equilibrium points have been examined using the Jacobian matrix and Lyapunov function methods. We analyze the model dynamics using numerical results for various parameters and fractional orders. Sensitivity analysis is carried out to identify the key factors influencing the dynamics of corruption. Numerical simulations confirm the analytical results.
